I'm ALIVE!

Okay so I bet you are all sitting on pins and needles wondering where the hell I'm at...WELL get a cup of your fav drink ready *I would make sure it has a mini umbrella in it* cause you are in for a fun treat of a blog entry...

On Living:

So as most of of you know i was/am looking for a room of my very own. So I was searching Craig's List with a come looking for a deal. Finally I found somoething and emailed the guy. He asked me over to see the room, and being the carefull person tah I am I suggested that we meet first to see if we wouldnt wan to kill each other and THEN we could go look at the place....

So we are setting at Modern Tea each with a pot of our own custom tea blend...we talk for 30 min and he seemed cool so i was all up for seeing the room. I ran to the bathroom and came back and finished my tea and told him that I had toget my back from my house before we head to look at the apt. he said thatwas fine and I could see my place fromthe tea shop anyway...so we headed over and when I got to my gate I blacked out.....

I woke up 3 hours later on the floor with my dooor open. he stole 2 laptop, watch, wallet (and the money I was going to give him incase I did want the place), an my Ipod....

When I went to the hospital they said that I had a HUGE dose of GHB in my system and surprised I didnt O.D....

But I'm still alive :-)

On Work:

I am nolonger at the Post St store...So all you stockrs need to update my work address, I moved to the big show over on Powell. It's CRAZY over there I'm jumiing from a store with 25 people to 145 and I have my own department....It's kinda crazy but fun. I'm also training to become a Visual, which would totally rock. There is a waiting list to be one in the city, so if I were to become one I would probly move again BUT since this isnt going to happen over night I can stay and enjoy the city.

We had the launch of the Comme des Garçons line, it lasted a whopping 5 min and we were sold out....L.A sold out in 13 Min...People were waiting in line to buy stuff starting at 3pm the day before...and yes I was one of them. I wanted my slice of Comme des Garçons too! I was 3rd in line but since I was broke I was able to snab a few bottles of the perfume/cologne which smells awesum..kinda has a hint of black pepper in it...totally awesume. Elke was able to snab one of the hard to get dress they released only 10 were sent to america and my store grabbed 5 of them. She has posted on ebay and I beleive has sold if for over 5K...Yea No joke...

oh.... I have to run right now think of thisas part one!

LATA!

take notes...

How to Be a Bad-Ass Knitter

1. Knit whatever the hell you want . . . whenever you want.
2. Buy as much yarn (and books and needles etc.) as you want, whenever the hell you want.
3. Never, ever, apologize for knitting.
4. Never, ever, apologize because you think something you knit isn't "good" enough.
5. Never, ever, apologize about how you knit: right-handed, left-handed, or with your toes!
6. Traditional knitting is timeless.
7. Display your stash with pride!
8. You don't have to follow a pattern exactly -- make changes if you wanna.
9. Never apologize for knitting cat/dog hair into your sweater. It's all the warmer!
10. Whenever a non-knitter asks you a stupid question, remember that you carry long, sharp sticks.

Re: Quick Post/Folsom goodness

So. . . .you're saying that San Fran is no more accepting of the makeup/unusual hair thang than Indianapolis was?

To answer your question Mr. Annon...No it has NOTHING to do with San Fran. I was referring to the messages I get on Youtube. San Francisco is great, I just got back from the Folsom Street Fair...Let me just say its not for the faint of heart. But it was soo much fun.

If you don't know what the fair is let me give yo a bit of a run down...

The Folsom Street Fair is a true San Francisco. Over 400,000 people in attendance covering 13 city blocks, the Fair is the largest leather/fetish event in the world and the third largest, single-day outdoor event in California.

And its just a few blocks from my house...

SQUEEEEE :-p

Don't people WORK in this city....

I work a full time job, but my hours are always crazy...like today I had to be in at 7 but im off at noon....This is most people on San Francisco. This is why when I'm out in my neighborhood park relaxing and knitting there are no less than 50 people doing the same, okay maky not the knitting part, but you get the idea LOL

Let alone if I was at Dolores Park where the daily afternoon crowed are all having picnics, breaking open some wine, pass around a joint, or just sun bathing....*insert photo of said park...*

As you can see this is a great spot to lounge and view the city...

San Franciscans make time to enjoy days like this, its a great way to unwind and relax mid week or just have a nice lnch break from work....

New Pattern: Simple Elegance

I decided that since this is a big move for me I would celebrate by giving you guys a new pattern....;-)

I have had lots of questions about the wedding shawls that I was making for a friend of mine so i figured now would be a good time to share one of them with you...

This is a pretty easy...so if you are new at lace consider this since its only 16 row repeat....I know 16 sounds long but then every other row is purl so its really only 8...:-)

Okay are you all ready...Then Lets Begin:

Simple Elegance

(Close Up)

What you need:

Yarn: I used 2 skiens of Alpaca Cloud from Knit Picks in the Sunlight Heather color way, but any lace weight will work.

Needles 5 us or 3.75 mm

Guage isn't a big thing here since you can block it out pretty easily...

NOTE: there is a 3 stitch garter stitch border that IS NOT wrote out, so be sure you knit the beginning and the ending 3 stitches each row

Cast on: 97

Work 5 rows in garter stitch.

Row 1: K1, *k2tog, K4, yo, K1, yo, ssk, K1; repeat from * till end of row

Row 2 and every other even row: Purl

Row 3: K1,* K2tog, K3, (yo,K1) twice, ssk, K1, repeat from * till end of row

Row 5: K1, *K2tog, K2, yo, K1, yo, K2, ssk, K1 repeat from * till end of row

Row 7: K1, *K2tog, (K1, yo) twice, K3, ssk, K1 repeat from * till end of row

Row 9: K1, *K2tog, yo, K1, yo, K4, ssk, K1 repeat from * till end of row

Row 11: K1, *K2tog, (K1, yo) twice, K3, ssk, K1 repeat from * till end of row

Row 13: K1, *K2tog, K2, yo, K1, yo, K2, ssk, K1 repeat from * till end of row

Row 15: K1, *K2got, K3, (yo,k1) twice, ssk, K1 repeat from * till end of row

Row 16: Purl

and repeat these 16 rows....

And if you have any questions feel free to email me ;-)

Ok START KNITTING!

And if you like this pattern all I ask is that you donate a few dollars to Aids Life Cycle. This link will be updated every year with my new cycling number so when ever you find this pattern you will be able to donate to the current ride! I myself have been fight HIV/AIDS for roughly 5 years but luckily I have never had to use any services. But others aren't that lucky...So anything you can give would be awesome! thanks.

I made it in one peice

I made it... I'mhere in San Fran and loving all of it. I was sooo freaked that I was actaully getting on a plane to com e out here but when i got off the plane and see Chave I knew that this was the right choice, if anything i can move somewhere else. But I'm working at my new store, I picked up a job doing 2 peoples books once a week...and Im knitting like a fool. Chave wants me to start selling my stuff round the city. So we are thinking up fun ideas and stuff....

funny story...

I was setting outside of our apt sipping coffee on the front steps and the car backs out of the garage and sees me fixing/reappying my makeup and she gets out and was like "Hey!"... I looked up to see what she wanted and the next words out of her mouth made me choke on the Soy Latte I was trying to sip..."I love the fact that you are doing your make up here in the street corner! I am a makeup whore *removes her sunglasses* See, I put on fake lashes just so i can get lunch...Just wanted to say that you make me happy...Lata!"

yea...thats been my week pretty much since i got here lol

gender bender

Okay, I just had a VERY LONG discusion with agirl about why I like to wear makeup…

I told her it WASNT a gay thing, I wear it becasue I like it…which brought up the topic of gender, and I told her that gender DOES NOT determain sexual prefrence, or even that it determines what sex you are…

Gender is between your eays and sex is between your legs…And they DO NOT go hand in hand.

I know some VERY “femine” men that are 100% straight and some masc. females that are 100% straight…

GENDER is NOT what sex you are or which sex you like…

I think of myself as genderqueer or genderfluid.

I’m a boy that wears makeup, girls clothes, but im am not a drag queen, of do I want to be a girl…this is just WHO I AM…

Gender is a social standing….with out society there wouldn’t be gender.

Gender is not a box you can check, there is no black and white area when it comes to it. its all gray. It’s a spectrum baside on everyone.

your thoughts?

I leave you with the lovely xXxMichealJamesXxX

Indy Pride...

So I think I might skip out of pride a bit this year...

Spending the last week with 3000 people covered in glitter, fethers, sequins, pasties, red dresses, abba playing from rest stops, dancing all over the state of california, hotties in nothing but bikini's (men and women i might add), indianapolis Pride somehow is leaving me wanting...

And to my SP:

What's your favorite summertime drink?

Well besides Ice Tea which is just fucking awesum, I LOVE Mimosas...its a great drink all day till you go to a evening party, you can lounge with them, have them for brunch...they just rock!

Hey everybody! I have great news... I have a cycling buddy!

His name is Patrick and he came all the way over from the UK to do the ALC with me. I know isnt that GREAT! Not only that but he is going to have his own blog for the ride. When we get everything worked out I will give you the addie ;-)

Ok let me find a pic of him...

Okay so Patric is a bit older than most of the riders. He said he stopped counting his birthdays after his 211th but like most Gnomes they reach their prime at 300 so I think he is going to be in GREAT shape..

Well everyone keep a look out for us in the next few weeks. We have to start getting everything ready for the ride ;-)

For some reason I have just been in a complete emotional funk the past few weeks, and I cant seem to shake it. You would think that I 'm doing good at work, picking up a job at the LYS and being less that a month away from ALC7 *have you donated yet* I would be on the moon...but I'm not...

So I figured I could do something more...that might help me out. So i bought Knitting for Peace. I LOVED this book and im glad I finally got it. But I cant stop crying when i read it...

case in point...

i was reading about mother bear project its a charity where you knit teddy bears and send them to children in africa that lost their parents to HIV/AIDS and more than likly they have it too...this little girl lost her parents then found out she was positive at school they teased her and made her life hell she told the teacher that her only freind was this bear that she got from the project when she died they made sure she was burreid with that bear...

Now how the hell am i suppose to knit when i have stories like that making me...well all leaky?

My hair...

My hair changes a lot, and I'm happy with that. I'm getting really tired of people telling me that I should go back to by natural black haair...or that my hair is to fucked up...ok first of all my natural hair IS NOT BLACK he a mix of brown and red, thanks to my VERY irish mother! so please leave the color of my hair alone..

Second its MY hair not yours, if I want to shave it off and leave chunks that make me look like a cancer patient then SO BE IT...

FUCK OFF!

To him:

Every time I see your face
I get all wet between my legs
Every time you pass me by
I heave a sigh of pain
Every time I see your face
I think of things unpure unchaste
I want to fuck you like a dog
I’ll take you home and make you like it
Everything you ever wanted
Everything you ever thought of is
Everything I’ll do to you I’ll fuck you and your minions too
Your face reminds me of a flower
Kind of like you’re underwater
Hair’s too long and in your eyes
Your lips- a perfect suck me size
You act like you’re fourteen years old
Everything you say is so
Obnoxious, funny, rude and mean
I want to be your blowjob queen
You’re probably shy and introspective
That’s not part of my objective
I just want your fresh young jimmy
Jamming slamming ramming in me
Every time I see your face
I think of things unpure unchaste
I want to fuck you like a dog
I’ll take you home and make you like it
Everything you ever wanted
Everything you ever thought of is
Everything I’ll do to you
I’ll fuck you ’til your dick is blue

Thanks Liz

Mothy Goodness

YAY a new FO!

Its the Wing of the moth scarf that came with my shawl pattern I'm doing. I needed to take a lil break from the shawl and do a quik project so I cansted on the scarf with a spare ball of Noro I had. I think it turned out GREAT dont you?

I have another ball somewhere so I think I might make another one HEHEHE....too cute I know!

Other than that I have just been working and plugging away for this bike ride...and of course knitting...

Omg I almost forgot...speaking of knitting guess how scored a job at his LYS....OH YEA...how happy am I *dances around naked* Its 6 bucks an hour paid in yarn... So that's not bad. God knows when I'm not at H&M I'm Down Town knitting anyway, why not knit and get yarn while I do it LOL

If anyone has heard of the Subversive Lace its coming to Indianapolis! I'm going to be working it some of the days its here...couldt you just poop! I'm going to be working the opening. they want us to be knitting something vintage, like wartime knitting... So i think im going to see if I cant find a few vintage wartime sock patterns...

Listen to the Sounds of the City

So I woke up this morning in a great mood, I don't really know why. I work up around 8:30 with the sun filling my studio, I made coffee and left the house. and to my suprise it was a beautiful day out so I walked over to Lazy Daze and sat onthe patio enjoying my morning coffee and a book. A good way to start the morning i feel...

After I finished my coffee I went on a little walk of downtown luckly I had my digi on me and took a few pics on my morning walk...this make me giggle a little bit...

As you should know Indianapolis is becoming rather policical these days. We have a Obama office right off the circle and they are giving away Dave Mathew tickets for anyone that wants to register to vote...thank god I regestered forever ago...Incase you didnt know I'm not a fan of Dave...I know big shock, but I never got into him...

But I have been using these few days off at work for good. I have been knitting and fundraising so that's always a plus right. And I'm getting my peices designed for a show I'm putting together, so that's always fun right...

So I lost my scarf I make a few weeks back, not a big loss it took me a few hours to make. But I forgot that everyone else doesnt knit, I KNOW RIGHT! I popped into the lib to see if I left it there and the woamn behind the counter asked me what I lost and of course I said the first thing that popped into my head:

Me: It was a ladder lace scarf knit with black homespun, 4 ply with accent colors apox 8 feet long.

Her: Blank stare

Me: umm...I lost a black scarf...

Her: OOOHHH ok let me check

Needless to say it wasnt turned in, oh well I guess I have to knit myself a new one...

But on my "to do" list today...have tea with someone dangerous...wish me luck!

Spring has Sprung!

Hello Ladies and Gellyspoon,

After long last spring has hit Indianapolis...If you are not familair with Indiana weather let it be known that it is as unperdictable as Sybil on a good day. But all in all it makes great weather to set in one of our many parks and knit. I am proud to say that I am plugging along on Anne's Wing-'o-the-Moth Shawl and am almost done with the double leaf pattern, and just about to start the edging.

Not to shabby if I can say... But I can tell you know that this is going to be a monster of a shawl once I have it off my needles, just holding the center up to my one half is a good 4 inches past my arm length and its not even done and blocked yet...This is going to make someone REALLY happy...Lets just hope I can find a place to block it out at lol

Lets see what else...*looks thru the pile of knitting*

Oh yes I needed a new scarf for the spring since its going to be warming up so I grabbed one skien of Bananna Fiber that I had laying around and whipped this little number up!

Isnt is cute. it was a simple Double Drop Stitch Scarf. Something new to add a bit of color to my waredrobe since most of you know I have a bit of a habit to grab the closest black garment in my closet...

you ahave to admit that those drop stitches are super cute and fun...Go ahead admit it...I can wait I have some wine chilling so take all the time you need to praise me with love...

But yea So far I think my knitting is going pretty nicely. Nothing new to report. I bike out of L.A in T-54 days and counting...WOOHOO so if you havn't put your donation in yet GO DO IT NOW!

www.aidslifecycle.org/1128

That way you can atleast get your name in to when some of these fun knitted goodies!

But I think I'm going to go enjoy this wine and find some food...But I will talk to all you lovely peoples later!

Ciao for now!

Just for fun

What Krystofer Means

You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life.

You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip.

People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.

You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.

You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in.

You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising.

You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care.

You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong.

You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know.

You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do.

You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life.

You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home.

You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.

You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life.

You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you.

At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.

You are loving, compassionate, and ruled by your feelings.

You are able to be a foundation for other people... but you still know how to have fun.

Sometimes your emotions weigh you down, but you generally feel free from them.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

Scream if you wanna go faster!

So incase you dont know we had the BIG TEN this weekend in Indianapolis, and since I work DT in the mall we were VERY busy...And becasue of the 200,000 extra people we had in the city parking was a BITCH! So instead of parking at work and shelling out $20+ dollars a day I had my roomie take me to work.

I get in around 1:00pm and start my day. Around 7 a call comes in and its for me but since im in the middle of a store full of crazy shoppers I had them take a message...It turned out to be the roomie...

I call him back and he tells me he is going to be going out of town around 9 and would be back later and if I could find a place to crash tonight since he is going to have "company" when he got home...

Okay so after my freaking out in the break room...thank god for out endless supply of coffee, tea, and chocolate Taylor told me she had to go out my way and it wouldnt be a problem getting me home...*insert deep breathe here*

So after I get home around 10:30 the house is still empty so I gathered my stuff and when into my room downstairs and started knitting.

Around 12 I hear people come into the house. I stay in my little room minding my own.

1am they are gone again...which tells me they are out drinking...

they get back around 3:30 and hang out in the living room...again im in my little room minding my own.

5:00 gets here and the roomie comes down and is like Krystofer you're here! GREAT could you do me a favor...

Keep in mind im still up from work and just lounging knitting away.

Sure I tell him what do you want. He tells me that the company needs to go home and if I could go with them since he wasnt able to drive back. Sure I can do that I reply, forgeting that he lives 65 miles away in Richmond. I get dressed and grab a sock that I started to I have something to work on in the car ride up there.we got there, Company got out and I took the wheel for the car ride home *another hour and some drive back to our house*

We pull into the drive way and I get out of the car. Walk to the drivers side passenger door and see something caught in it. After closer inspection i see its string....a VERY familar color too I might add...

I followed it to where it ended outside the car, and there 4 feet behind the car was my sock...

I thought it was safe in the car when I got out but i guess I got out, it fell ouy, I closed the door on the ball in the car and my dear sock was left to dangle on the highway being dragged 65 miles at 90 MPH...

thank god it was at night and noone was able to see me dragging my knitting.

But after crying to my dear friend Mathew he reminded me that even Masters of the univers like up sometimes have to leave our socks out to dry...

I'm going to wait abit before I knit inthe back seat again
