My Cycling Buddy...

Hey everybody! I have great news... I have a cycling buddy!

His name is Patrick and he came all the way over from the UK to do the ALC with me. I know isnt that GREAT! Not only that but he is going to have his own blog for the ride. When we get everything worked out I will give you the addie ;-)

Ok let me find a pic of him...

Okay so Patric is a bit older than most of the riders. He said he stopped counting his birthdays after his 211th but like most Gnomes they reach their prime at 300 so I think he is going to be in GREAT shape..

Well everyone keep a look out for us in the next few weeks. We have to start getting everything ready for the ride ;-)

funky town

For some reason I have just been in a complete emotional funk the past few weeks, and I cant seem to shake it. You would think that I 'm doing good at work, picking up a job at the LYS and being less that a month away from ALC7 *have you donated yet* I would be on the moon...but I'm not...

So I figured I could do something more...that might help me out. So i bought Knitting for Peace. I LOVED this book and im glad I finally got it. But I cant stop crying when i read it...

case in point...

i was reading about mother bear project its a charity where you knit teddy bears and send them to children in africa that lost their parents to HIV/AIDS and more than likly they have it too...this little girl lost her parents then found out she was positive at school they teased her and made her life hell she told the teacher that her only freind was this bear that she got from the project when she died they made sure she was burreid with that bear...

Now how the hell am i suppose to knit when i have stories like that making me...well all leaky?

My hair...

My hair changes a lot, and I'm happy with that. I'm getting really tired of people telling me that I should go back to by natural black haair...or that my hair is to fucked up...ok first of all my natural hair IS NOT BLACK he a mix of brown and red, thanks to my VERY irish mother! so please leave the color of my hair alone..

Second its MY hair not yours, if I want to shave it off and leave chunks that make me look like a cancer patient then SO BE IT...

FUCK OFF!

To him:

Every time I see your face
I get all wet between my legs
Every time you pass me by
I heave a sigh of pain
Every time I see your face
I think of things unpure unchaste
I want to fuck you like a dog
I’ll take you home and make you like it
Everything you ever wanted
Everything you ever thought of is
Everything I’ll do to you I’ll fuck you and your minions too
Your face reminds me of a flower
Kind of like you’re underwater
Hair’s too long and in your eyes
Your lips- a perfect suck me size
You act like you’re fourteen years old
Everything you say is so
Obnoxious, funny, rude and mean
I want to be your blowjob queen
You’re probably shy and introspective
That’s not part of my objective
I just want your fresh young jimmy
Jamming slamming ramming in me
Every time I see your face
I think of things unpure unchaste
I want to fuck you like a dog
I’ll take you home and make you like it
Everything you ever wanted
Everything you ever thought of is
Everything I’ll do to you
I’ll fuck you ’til your dick is blue

Thanks Liz

Mothy Goodness

YAY a new FO!

Its the Wing of the moth scarf that came with my shawl pattern I'm doing. I needed to take a lil break from the shawl and do a quik project so I cansted on the scarf with a spare ball of Noro I had. I think it turned out GREAT dont you?

I have another ball somewhere so I think I might make another one HEHEHE....too cute I know!

Other than that I have just been working and plugging away for this bike ride...and of course knitting...

Omg I almost forgot...speaking of knitting guess how scored a job at his LYS....OH YEA...how happy am I *dances around naked* Its 6 bucks an hour paid in yarn... So that's not bad. God knows when I'm not at H&M I'm Down Town knitting anyway, why not knit and get yarn while I do it LOL

If anyone has heard of the Subversive Lace its coming to Indianapolis! I'm going to be working it some of the days its here...couldt you just poop! I'm going to be working the opening. they want us to be knitting something vintage, like wartime knitting... So i think im going to see if I cant find a few vintage wartime sock patterns...

Listen to the Sounds of the City

So I woke up this morning in a great mood, I don't really know why. I work up around 8:30 with the sun filling my studio, I made coffee and left the house. and to my suprise it was a beautiful day out so I walked over to Lazy Daze and sat onthe patio enjoying my morning coffee and a book. A good way to start the morning i feel...

After I finished my coffee I went on a little walk of downtown luckly I had my digi on me and took a few pics on my morning walk...this make me giggle a little bit...

As you should know Indianapolis is becoming rather policical these days. We have a Obama office right off the circle and they are giving away Dave Mathew tickets for anyone that wants to register to vote...thank god I regestered forever ago...Incase you didnt know I'm not a fan of Dave...I know big shock, but I never got into him...

But I have been using these few days off at work for good. I have been knitting and fundraising so that's always a plus right. And I'm getting my peices designed for a show I'm putting together, so that's always fun right...

So I lost my scarf I make a few weeks back, not a big loss it took me a few hours to make. But I forgot that everyone else doesnt knit, I KNOW RIGHT! I popped into the lib to see if I left it there and the woamn behind the counter asked me what I lost and of course I said the first thing that popped into my head:

Me: It was a ladder lace scarf knit with black homespun, 4 ply with accent colors apox 8 feet long.

Her: Blank stare

Me: umm...I lost a black scarf...

Her: OOOHHH ok let me check

Needless to say it wasnt turned in, oh well I guess I have to knit myself a new one...

But on my "to do" list today...have tea with someone dangerous...wish me luck!

Spring has Sprung!

Hello Ladies and Gellyspoon,

After long last spring has hit Indianapolis...If you are not familair with Indiana weather let it be known that it is as unperdictable as Sybil on a good day. But all in all it makes great weather to set in one of our many parks and knit. I am proud to say that I am plugging along on Anne's Wing-'o-the-Moth Shawl and am almost done with the double leaf pattern, and just about to start the edging.

Not to shabby if I can say... But I can tell you know that this is going to be a monster of a shawl once I have it off my needles, just holding the center up to my one half is a good 4 inches past my arm length and its not even done and blocked yet...This is going to make someone REALLY happy...Lets just hope I can find a place to block it out at lol

Lets see what else...*looks thru the pile of knitting*

Oh yes I needed a new scarf for the spring since its going to be warming up so I grabbed one skien of Bananna Fiber that I had laying around and whipped this little number up!

Isnt is cute. it was a simple Double Drop Stitch Scarf. Something new to add a bit of color to my waredrobe since most of you know I have a bit of a habit to grab the closest black garment in my closet...

you ahave to admit that those drop stitches are super cute and fun...Go ahead admit it...I can wait I have some wine chilling so take all the time you need to praise me with love...

But yea So far I think my knitting is going pretty nicely. Nothing new to report. I bike out of L.A in T-54 days and counting...WOOHOO so if you havn't put your donation in yet GO DO IT NOW!

www.aidslifecycle.org/1128

That way you can atleast get your name in to when some of these fun knitted goodies!

But I think I'm going to go enjoy this wine and find some food...But I will talk to all you lovely peoples later!

Ciao for now!

Just for fun

What Krystofer Means

You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life.

You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip.

People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.

You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.

You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in.

You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising.

You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care.

You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong.

You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know.

You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do.

You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life.

You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home.

You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.

You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life.

You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you.

At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.

You are loving, compassionate, and ruled by your feelings.

You are able to be a foundation for other people... but you still know how to have fun.

Sometimes your emotions weigh you down, but you generally feel free from them.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.
