We were drivin ghome from columbus and we stopped to get gas and somethign tastey to drink. He got out pumped the gas paid at teh pump and decided we wanted drinks so he ran inside and got them and came out...

We got settled back into the truck with out new found bottes of caffine and drive off when we heard something that sounded like we ran over som estrange and odd object. After looking out my window I didn tnotice anything unusal so Nick drove off...after 30sec he freaks out and jumps out of the truck...

He forgot to put the nozzle back onto the pump...and so we ripped it out of the pump as we were driving. God BLESS quick release...

Dyelots and surprises in the post...

First I would like to thank all of you for your comments in my last post. I'm glad to see I have people that would volunteer to become my family. Thanks so much guys *big kiss* Now on to my post...

I was wondering this for months now and I was scared to do it casue I didn't want to waste my yarn that Plumpy and my S.P sent me last round. I was wondering if I could overdye my oatmeal woolpak...I was scared it would turn to mud. So I found my slippers I made a few months ago and decided to use those are my swatch for the dye and here are my results...

Before

After

It didn't turn into mud! Here is a better shot of the before and after...

I think it came out a nice shade of red don't you...

And its amazing how you can forget something even when you are staring at the envelope it was shipped in. I put an order in 5 weeks ago for some labels and I forgot about them. They came in yesterday and I was like "what?" they said "CASH'S LABEL'S" shipped from the UK and you better believe I had no idea what they were till I opened them...How cute are these?

I'm so excited about them and they weren't that bad it was a grand total of $25 for a 144 of these little buggers mailed from the UK. I'm on a knitting spree so I can sew these on!

I was asked to make something for a benefit going on in a few weeks and I thought that these came just in time to sew these on to some things that are going to be auctioned off to raise money for Juvenile Diabetes...

This is why I love checking my mail i get so much fun stuff in it...

And for those that want to send me something for my bday that is just this Saturday...you can send stuff to

Krys Dixon
905 Oak Meadows
North Vernon Indiana 47265

I'll be happy with just a card *wink* I'mm turning 22...But people are guessing I'm turning 21 so who am I to correct them right.

Well I'm going to hit that sak. Night babes....*big wet kisses*

Pieces of Krys ( I mean April)

I just finished wathing Pieces of April and I didn't know realize how emotional into I got untill the end where I actaully teared up a bit. It really touched me because I been there. I know what its like trying to please your family after being bitched at/yell at/emotionally abused/left out/ put to the side...and in Aprils words "I'm the first pancake" meaning I'm the one you have to get read of before you have a happy family good breakfast.

I been living in my apartment for 1.5 years. I have held down a job paid my bills have a car and never asked my family for anything yet its been 18 months * and counting* since I moved in and they have yet been to see me. Normally I would understand this being I lived hours away but I live 20 min away and that is driving slowly.

I come to understand that I'm the black sheep in my family. I'm 21 and I'm happy. I might not be doing what they think I should be doing and it pisses them off. I know it pisses then off when I come in sporting a new color hair, tattoo, peircing, eyeliner. But this is me, I like expressing myself. I'm an Art Major...THAT'S what I do! In 9 days I turn 22 and I'm still looked at like I'm that 8 year old boy refusing to take his medicine.

I'm not a little punk. I might look like I get into trouble but I speak 2 languges and learning a third, I play flute, violin and piano, taught myself how to knit along with numerous other artistic mediums.

I really do love my family through all the shit they put me through. Even though I think know my love is returned half heartedly...

Hopefully I will find people i cna adopt as family...becasue they way I see it the one I have now needs brought in for repairs...

SHE GOT IT!

Incase some of you were living under a rock I was in the scarf exchange hosted by some freinds of mine here on blogger. I sent out my scarf and hat to Brianne and she got it yesterday and here is what she had to say:

Brianne:
They arrived on Saturday afternoon and I'm thrilled with them! The scarf is wonderfully long and will make a great scarf for the spring. The hat is fun and funky and my two year old has claimed it as his own!!! Of course, the hat is much to big for my little guy, but he loves it just the same.

Krystofer at Impossible Princess was my gifter. Thank you, Krys! My Mom and I would both love to know what pattern and yarn you used for the scarf? Mom wants the yarn information for a shell she wants to make and I want the pattern information because I want to make one to make as a Christmas gift for Mom. (Sssh. Don't tell her.)

Thanks again, Krys! *HUGS*

I'm so happy she liked it...I hope to see pc sof her little mane wearing the hat really soon!

And incase you were wondering what I sent her, these are some quick pics of them.

The scarf was made out of shine and shine twist from knitpick in cherry. It was such a great yearn to work with. Nice and smooth and cool. And the the hat shows in this by my lovely blue model ( don't you LOVE ebay) was from that ball I dyed aroun ddecember but was to "christmasy" for me so I waited a few months and threw in some weird/fun yarn I was sent by Plumpy ( who i havent heard fromin FOREVER...you still out there hun?!?!?) and that became her hat...something classic and something fun..

I'm glad both things came out looking good and she likes them...

Damn this is the longest post I had in weeks...LoL...But I made and sent off two new scarves for the UBBERSEXY Alan Gentry for his freinds in the Cirque...that's right I'm knitting for the Cirque now LOL. I hope they like their scarves and much as Alan liked the one I made him...I guess we will see huh...I'll keep you posted on any more updates and events over here my on little part of cyberland...

Well I'm off to see what kind of trouble I can start up with Mr. Gentry...Later babes *muah*

Coretta Scott King, the wife of slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., has died. She was 78.

"We appreciate the prayers and condolences from people across the country," the King family said in a statement. Her death was announced by her friend Andrew Young, the former mayor of Atlanta. Mrs. King had suffered a serious stroke and heart attack in 2005.

Coretta Scott was studying voice at Boston's New England Conservatory of Music and planning on a singing career when she met her future husband. They married in 1953 and had four children: Yolanda Denise, Martin III, Dexter Scott, and Bernice Albertine.

After her husband's assassination in Memphis, Tenn., on April 4, 1968, she continued his work for social justice and devoted her life to his legacy, establishing the King Center in Atlanta and working for decades for a federal holiday in his honor.

King became a symbol, in her own right, of her husband's struggle for peace and brotherhood, presiding with a quiet, steady, stoic presence over seminars and conferences on global issues.

"I'm more determined than ever that my husband's dream will become a reality," King said soon after his slaying, a demonstration of the strong will that lay beneath the placid calm and dignity of her character.

In 1969, she founded the multimillion-dollar Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change. King saw to it that the center became deeply involved with the issues that she said breed violence -- hunger, unemployment, voting rights and racism.

"The center enables us to go out and struggle against the evils in our society," she often said.

In recent years, King spoke out against racial profiling, mandatory minimum sentences and attacks on affirmative action.

She became increasingly critical of businesses such as film and television companies, video arcades, gun manufacturers and toy makers she accused of promoting violence. She called for regulation of their advertising.

"In this country, we vigorously regulate the sale of medicine and severely limit the advertising of cigarettes because of their effect on human health," she said Jan. 15, 1994, the 65th anniversary of her husband's birth. "But we allow virtually anyone in America to buy a gun and virtually everyone in the nation to see graphic violence."

King received numerous honors for herself and traveled around the world in the process.

Due to poor health, King missed the annual King holiday celebration in Atlanta earlier this month, but she did appear with her children at an awards dinner a couple of days earlier, smiling from her wheelchair but not speaking. The crowd gave her a standing ovation.

Blonde moments of Nick

So I love Nick but sometimes I just want to smack him...case in point....

1. The other day he was in the kitchen making lunch. I heard him cussing and getting pissed at something, I go in and find him beating up the sandwich maker. After asking what was wrong. He turned to me and said "the damn thing isnt working, it's not getting hot."

I watched him try 2 dif outlets and listened to him getting pissed becasue he just got it for his b-day a week before and it's broke already.

Then it hit me I knew what was wrong...

I turned to him and said in my never loving voice...

Hunny you are plugging in the coffee grinder....
.....

Now if you think that was interesting here is the best on ethat has happeend so far...

2. Nick was about to leave for work and he was looking for his phone. So he grabbed mine to call his but it was off and was sending him straight to voicemail. And as many of us know this is not a good thing when you cant find your phone. So he tried calling it a few more times freaking out he can't find it. So finally I offer to help him look. I stood up and realized something...My phone was in my pocket....

The reason his phone wasnt ringing was becasue he was calling himself on his own phone...*sigh*
.....

So yea that's my boy...lol

On a beter note I'm making a new scarf for the UBBERSEXY Alan Gentry

Isnt it cute...It's my version of the boyfriend scarf...I hope he likes it!

Well I'm off to knit more of it...

Later sexies!

R U a satinist

This was in a flier I found talking abou how you can tell if your child is a satinist or not...I guess I'm going to hell...

-Frequently wears black clothing.

-Wears band and/or rock t-shirts. (So I guess anyone who likes good music is a Satan worshiper...)

-Wears excessive black eye makeup, lipstick or nail polish.

-Wears any odd, silver jewelry or symbols. Some of these include: reversed crosses, pentagrams, pentacles, ankhs or various other Satanic worshipping symbols. (Yes, because the Egyptian symbol for eternal life is Satanic even though Satan didn't exist back then...)

-Shows an interest in piercings or tattoos.

-Listens to gothic or any other anti-social genres of music. Marilyn Manson claims to be the anti-Christ, and publicly speaks against the Lord. Please discard any such albums IMMEDIATELY.

-Associates with other people that dress, act or speak eccentrically.

-Shows a declining interest in wholesome activities, such as: the Bible, prayer, church or sports. (Yes, because sports are really wholesome... *rolls eyes*)

-Shows an increasing interest in death, vampires, magic, the occult, witchcraft or anything else that involves Satan.

-Takes drugs.

-Drinks alcohol. (So 90% of the Christians I know really worship Satan...)

-Is suicidal and/or depressed. (Because Christian's lives are all gravy...)

-Cuts, burns or partakes in any other method of self-mutilation. This is a Satanic ritual that uses pain to detract from the light of God and His love. Please seek immediate attention for this at your local mental health center.( I actually kinda like their reasoning behind this. It's...interesting?)

-Complains of boredom. (Holy shit! I'm bored! I must worship Satan to keep my mind occupied! *rolls eyes*)

-Sleeps too excessively or too little. (All insomniacs now worship Satan...)

-Is excessively awake during the night. (What if I work a night job?)

-Dislikes sunlight or any other form of light. This pertains to vampires promoting the idea that His light is of no use.

-Demands an unusual amount of privacy. (So every teenager in the world worships Satan now...(

-Spends large amounts of time alone.

-Requests time alone and quietness. This is so that your child may speak to evil spirits through meditation.

-Insists on spending time with friends while unaccompanied by an adult. (OMG...just, nothing to say to this...)

-Disregards authority figures; teachers, priests, nuns and elders are but a few examples of this. (What if the authority figures are idiots?)

-Misbehaves at school.

-Misbehaves at home.

-Eats excessively or too little.

-Eats goth-related foods. Count Dracula cereal is an example of this. (Okay, that's it. Let's shoot whoever wrote this and see if they go to hell.)

-Drinks blood or expresses an interest in drinking blood. Vampires believe this is how to attain Satan. This act is very dangerous and should be stopped immediately.

-Watches cable television or any other corrupted media sources. Ask your local church for proper programs that your child may watch.( Wow. In that case, you just shouldn't have cable.)

-Plays videos games that contains violence or role-playing nature.

-Uses the internet excessively and frequently makes time for the computer. (Will someone please tell me what this has to do with Satan????)

-Makes Satanic symbols and/or violently shakes head to music.

-Dances to music in a provocative or sexual manner. (Yup, you guessed it, strippers are of Satan, too.)

-Expresses an interest in sex.
-Masturbates.

-Is homosexual.

-Pursues dangerous cult religions. Such include: Satanism, Scientology, Philosophy, Paganism, Wicca, Hinduism and Buddhism. (Wow. When did Buddhism and Hindusim become dangerous cults? Last I checked, they were around way before Christianity...)

-Wears pins, stickers or anything else that contains these various phrases: "I'm so gothic, I'm dead", "woe is me", "I'm a goth".

-Claims to be a goth. (I've actually known Christian goths...I was in Bible study with them.)

In their attempt to rid the world of "gothic" people, here is St. Mary's wonderful definition of gothic.

"Gothic (or goth) is a very obscure and often dangerous culture that young teenagers are prone to participating in. The gothic culture leads young, susceptible minds into an imagined world of evil, darkness, and violence."

Here is St. Mary's remedy for curing the "goth disease."

"Please seek immediate attention through counselling, prayer, and parental guidance to rid your child of Satan's temptations"

I guess we are all doomed!

Who is that sexy model?

So I casted on and finished a hat the same night. Isnt it funky...

Here is a shot of one on a really cute model...

Plumpy sent me that black fuzzy yarn and if youremeber that is the red/green yarn I dyed a few weeks back. I didnt want to use it around Krysmas for teh sheer fact I HATE Krysmas colors. But I think it turne dout rather fun and cute dont you?

And if you notice I'm wearing the scarf I recieved from the scarf exchange that I posted about in a earlier post...LOL

But I am LOVIN Gmy funky hat... I think I'm going to make another one with orange fuzzies instead of black...what colors gowith orange? ideas????

Barbie promotes gender confusion

I think this is a load of bullshit but I thought i would raise the queation with you guys...

here is the artical

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=48177

The font is kinda hard to read so I'll post it here too..

Quote:
A third gender choice available to young participants of a poll on the Barbie doll website was changed after initially offering children the options of "I am a Girl," "I am a Boy," and "I don't know" – eliciting charges that Mattel, the company that owns Barbie, is intentionally promoting gender confusion among kids.

Apparently due to the criticism, the third gender option has now been changed to "I don't want to say."

Concerned Women for America, or CWA, believes by including the "I don't know" choice the company was promoting the homosexual agenda.

"It's the idea that well, maybe people aren't born a particular biological sex, or they are but that shouldn't determine their gender identity," Robert Knight, director of CWA's Culture & Family Institute, told the Christian Post. "And that's a very big component of the homosexual activist agenda now."

Knight pointed out the homosexual movement now goes by the acronym GLBT – for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered – and sometimes adds Q for "questioning youth."

"In other words, any kid who's not sure about who he is, he's fair game to try to persuade to have same sex acts," said Knight.

CWA has posted a screen shot of the original poll's options on its website. The poll question itself asked about what activities the respondents participate in during January.

Knight also questioned Barbie's emphasis on material things and physical appearance.

"Some critics have said the Barbie dolls really have convinced American girls that the materialistic way of life is the way to go," he told the newssite. "You have to have the hot cars, and the tropical scene. And Barbie has the perfect figure and the perfect outfits.

"It's really steering girls away from the idea of womanhood as predominantly – in terms of Christians – serving the Lord, getting married, having kids, building a home. You don't see any of that with Barbie – it's all about things."

Left-wing blog Big Brass Blog ridiculed the suggestion that Barbie had an agenda by including the "I Don't Know" option.

Under the heading "Now this is just beyond silly," poster the Green Knight writes:

"I'm not sure why 'I don't know' is there; it might be just a programming mistake, or it might be a reflection of the fact that, yeah, sometimes really young kids might not have thought about it too much yet, but this mostly invisible drop-down item in an obscure section of a web page is not evidence of anything. It's certainly not a promotion of anything, other than, well, Barbie.

"And yet … CWA honestly think[s] that this is some nefarious plot to indoctrinate 4-year-old girls into homosexuality and transsexual surgery. Yes, that's what they really think."

Mattel flatly denies any effort to purposely encourage gender confusion with the poll.

"Whenever we ask a child's gender, we provide her/him with three different answers: 'girl,' 'boy' and 'I don't want to say,'"explained Lauren Bruksch, a company spokeswoman. "Barbie.com always provides children with a neutral or non-response option."

Continued Bruksch: "In this particular case it was an innocent mistake; it should have read 'I don't want to say' as it does now. To suggest anything otherwise is ridiculous and irresponsible."

The spokeswoman said the answer "I don't know" is built into the sample answers of the rotating poll, and the fact it was not corrected before going live was an "unfortunate mistake."

I'm sory but first off why is there a man heading up the CWA?

Secondly I think they are jsut saying this to start shit...

But your thoughts?

I have to find a cute hat to make now for her...

bible thumpers

Well now we have a color coded map for where all the stupid people are...

I'm tired of all these bible thumpers saying that they are beter than me. I'm sory but love is love is love...I'mnot saying you should like the fact I'm gay but I should have the same rights as you do...

Stop using the bible to justify your narrow minded stupidy. You are not Christians. I'm waiting for Jesus to come back and say "That's not what I ment!"

And for all those that are getting pissed off at this post and running to your bibles to justify your thoughts I want you to read some scripture...

Flip to Mathew: Chapter 11 Verse 17 if my memory serves me rights it reads:

Shut the Fuck Up!

Until there's a cure...

Since I forgot to post on world Aids day I'll do it now...

Worldwide:

* Over 22 million people have died from AIDS.
* Over 42 million people are living with HIV/AIDS, and 74 percent of these infected people live in sub-Saharan Africa.
* Over 19 million women are living with HIV/AIDS.
* By the year 2010, five countries (Ethiopia, Nigeria, China, India, and Russia) with 40 percent of the world's population will add 50 to 75 million infected people to the worldwide pool of HIV disease.
* There are 14,000 new infections every day (95 percent in developing countries). HIV/AIDS is a "disease of young people" with half of the 5 million new infections each year occurring among people ages 15 to 24.
* The UN estimates that, currently, there are 14 million AIDS orphans and that by 2010 there will be 25 million.

United States:

* An estimated 800,000 to 900,000 people are currently living with HIV in the United States, with approximately 40,000 new infections occurring each year.
* 70 percent of these new infections occur in men and 30 percent occur in women.
* By race, 54 percent of the new infections in the United States occur among African Americans, and 64 percent of the new infections in women occur in African American women.
* 75 percent of the new infections in women are heterosexually transmitted.
* Half of all new infections in the United States occur in people 25 years of age or younger.

And I ask Everyone that visits this site to PLEASE take a few seconds and check out Until There's a Cure...

new scarf for the sister in law

So i finished the scarf for Nick's sister...I like it alot its a shale pattern knit on a burgandy mohair...the pattern is here for all those that want it. I used 2 balls of Classic Elite La Gran Mohair I think the color is Chianti. I'm going to make a few more to give out as gifts...It was a really fast knit, just took a few hours...

It's around 70 inches long...as you can see its being blocked as we speak...

I have Nick taken care of with the Ipod. And I bought my mom a huge basket full of bath stuff.

I'm working on the $130 bag for a friend of mine... I love how that's what its called now...

But I think I'm going to do it in a creamy tweed with a black ribbon. Sounds classy dont you think?
